About Our Program

Urban Heroes Elite formed in 2015 as a combination between two existing clubs, Urban DFW and Heroes Elite. After competing against each other and witnessing each other on the circuit for years, the directors saw similar values and synergies that could be aligned to impact more young women.

Our core belief is ensuring we take a long-term view in doing what’s best for the kids in our program. We focus on building strong relationships with our players and their families, along with college coaches who have recruited from our program for years. We have over 77 kids from our program who have played college basketball at all levels.

Skill Training

Basketball skills training is an integral part of youth development. It is especially important at the younger ages when players are learning how to work hard while maintaining a love for the game. Some coaches will rely only on athleticism, ability to press, and simply outrunning opponents to win games. When players age, teams that were used to winning often find they are out-skilled. We believe that quality outweighs raw athleticism.

Path to Overall Success

UHE Basketball coaches understands that players develop at different rates, may face unique challenges, and have individual goals. The UHE coaching staff works with each player on his or her own path to basketball success. Off the court players are expected to be of high character, prioritize academics, have respect for others, and actively support their community.

UHE Girls Team

UHE has girls teams ranging from 7th to 12th grade. Each player is taught the importance of working as a team while each individual also understands she is vitally important to the team’s growth and success. Urban Heroes Elite has a reputation for building young girls into great players.  Start your child here and allow us to build their success.
